Tales of The Garden Exhibit - Giant tools

Plinths decreasing in height and the change of colour gradient within these sculptures represent a timeline of tools used within the gardening landscape here at Longleat. Older, sepia tones represent a nod to the archival images referenced in our research. These gradually move towards more vibrant blues and lifelike tones, as if the objects are emerging out of old photographs. Each sculpture is displayed on its own plinth mirroring that of a museum display, to preserve and celebrate each object and its purpose, in place and time.
